Hello beautiful souls and welcome back to my blog! On this Monday morning I can’t help but reflect on my weekend of mindful self-care. When in doubt, massage it out! Now I know massages are expensive, but I went on search for a great place with amazing reviews and reasonable pricing! I found a great place with a 70 minute massage for 45 dollars! I never thought getting a massage would be my new self-care practice, but I recommend everyone to get one once every two months. Our bodies go through so much tension and stress day after day that it needs pampering.
Set good intentions. Part of self-caring for yourself is practicing graditude and having a positive mindset. While I do know that is hard to achieve everyday. One must value their self worth and practice being grateful for the things you have instead of feeling negative about the things you don’t have yet.
Just be present. One of the hardest things I face daily is being present. During my massage instead of being scared it would go too fast, I took deep breaths and stayed present through the whole 70 minutes. I also found myself staying present while sitting at a park with my girlfriend, her sister, and her boyfriend. Just having no cares to be anywhere or running errands. I was able to enjoy the weather and the company because I let my mind, body, and soul be present.
